QUESTION:What do I need to do?
ANSWER: Depending on what sort of agent affiliation you sign up for, your involvement can range from merely advertising the program on your website, to calling on new or existing businesses and offering them the various products and services available to you. Alternatively you may have or want to build out an office of sales agents and act as the local PREFERRED Merchants office.
QUESTION:Who handles deployment and reprogramming of equipment?
ANSWER: Through the PREFERRED Merchants deployment center, all re-programming and deployment of new or swap equipment is handled for you. For experienced agents, they know this means a significant time savings allowing you to focus on selling and servicing your clients.
QUESTION:What does PREFERRED Merchants provide me with?
ANSWER: PREFERRED Merchants provides all the tools and products you need to start immediately. Depending on your desired relationship with PREFERRED Merchants, your specific involvement will range from as little as placing a banner link on your website to direct selling to your clients. The choice of involvement is up to you!
QUESTION:Already selling other B2B products or services?
ANSWER: If you are selling other business related products or services such as telecommunications, accounting/bookkeeping services, computer services, advertising, or office equipment and supplies, this is a great way to expand your earnings by simply cross-selling additional products and services to your existing customers. If you’re experienced, you know this means a stronger bond with your client and less chance that another competitor will be able to steal them away from you.
QUESTION:I already sell one or more of your products. Why would I want to become a PREFERRED Merchants agent?
ANSWER: By cross-selling your clients with multiple products you create what experts call “stickiness”. In addition, some products are "stickier" than others. For example, credit card processing services is typically viewed as a "commoditized product". Everyone has the same cost so you’ll always be subject to the risk of being under cut by your competitor. The best way to combat this risk is to create stickiness using other products that are more difficult to transfer or products that are not based solely on price. Examples of this would be Gift & Loyalty programs, Consulting Services for things such as Website Maintenance, etc.
QUESTION: Is there a limit on how much can I make?
ANSWER: NO. There is no limit on how much you can earn. That’s one of the great things about the PREFERRED Merchants Agent program. There's no limit to how many referrals you can send and there's no limit to how many referral payments you can receive.
QUESTION: How much does it cost to join?
ANSWER: The PREFERRED Merchants Agent programs are FREE to join. As an agent you hold NO risk or liability for any accounts created under your agent agreement. There is no investment required to become an agent and we will provide you with all the tools and training necessary to get started.
QUESTION: Do I need to qualify or have good credit to join?
ANSWER: NO.
QUESTION: Are there any contracts required to join?
ANSWER: There is an agent agreement but you are not subjected to any exclusivity terms or lengthy contracts.
QUESTION: Can I cancel if I don’t like the program?
ANSWER: Yes. And if you decide to cancel you will continue to be paid any bonuses and residuals that were earned under your original agent agreement.
QUESTION: Our Franchise or Association already has a provider for some of your products. Can I select only the ones I want?
